Back Practicing, Kompany Ready to Defend City Again
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola ensures Vincent Kompany will soon defend his team. Guardiola insists healing Kompany injury goes well.
The 31-year-old suffered a calf injury while taking Belgium’s national team to a 9-0 win over Gibraltar in the Group H qualifying match for 2018 World Cup qualifying zone Europe, September 1, 2017.
“Today (Friday (15/09/2017)) Kompany has played and he is back and has been training with us,” said Guardiola.
“In my opinion, in the next few days, he is ready to return to play with us,” he continued.
As a result of the injury, Vincent Kompany absent when The Citizens met Liverpool in the Premier League event, September 9, 2017, and face Feyenoord in the Champions League Group F inaugural matchday, 14 September 2017.
